How and why can they do this?

My question is, when i list Cd's, records,or media mail type listings it says I can only charge $2.99 or $ 4.00 for this type of item. As I search through other sellers, I see that some are charging much more than this in the same catagory?

Some of you are legit here but are the rest just new and guessing at answers? ebay wont let you SELL media unless you offer free shipping / you can list all you want it wont sell -this is why:

you cant get seen on best match unless you are top rated.. you cant get top rated without free shipping to get the stars, you cant sell your stuff unless you list it for next to nothing.. if you are not high on Best match you better start them at 1 cent or get ready for a costly inventory soak.

You dont need to charge more that $4 for a single movie or CD they cost $2 almost everytime first class, a lot of the media rate costs more, and if you sell a huge lot you can put it in wholesale lots and charge WETFYW.. (you'll figure that one out..)

If you dont list single cds and dvds with prefilled info that are in the catalog they will pull your items eventually and give you violations which lead to account limitations that effect best match leading back to the first point.

Selling media is hard buyers only need to own your cds or dvds long enough to rip them.. 15 minutes after arrival you get a PP email saying YOU SENT ME BROKEN CRAP!! WHERES MY MONEY... GOOD LUCK!
